A Record Week for Wall Street

This week a discomfiting record was set on Wall Street as the market oscillated up and down more than 400 points four days in a row. The whipsaw market action shattered investor confidence sending waves of sell orders to the floor of the exchanges. The economic numbers were mixed, but contagion fears are growing in Europe.
